Godwin Bowman, PC, a Dallas based trial and appellate law firm, has recently announced several promotions effective November 1, 2020.
Todd Shadle has been appointed to the Executive Committee and will also serve as the Firm’s General Counsel. Chairman and CEO, Donald E. Godwin stated,

Mr. Shadle is board certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. His employment law experience includes counseling and preparation of policies, litigation, conducting investigations, and dealing with state and federal agencies. He also handles complex commercial litigation matters and counsel’s clients regarding their data governance issues, exposure, and the response and handling of data breaches. Reflecting the excellence of his practice, he has been named as one of D Magazine’s “Best Lawyers in Dallas”, selected to the list of Texas Rising Stars by Thomson Reuters, honoring the top young attorneys in the state, and is AV-Rated “Preeminent” by Martindale-Hubbell, the organization’s highest-ranking for legal ability and ethical standards, and has been selected to the 100 Most Powerful Employment Lawyers in the United States.
Whitney Green and Charmaine Becken have been promoted to Shareholder.
Ms. Green is passionate about the practice of family law and helping clients through crisis. She brings a sense of creativity and compassion to all her cases. Her areas of concentration include divorce, child custody/support disputes, modification of prior orders, adoptions, premarital agreements, and enforcements. Whitney is especially sensitive to cases involving children with unique issues, such as grandparents’ rights, special needs children, and situations involving mental health issues.
Additionally, she has experience with complex property issues involving trusts, business interests, and characterization. She enjoys the challenge of crafting creative agreements to best serve her clients and taking issues to court when necessary.
Whitney has been named among D Magazine’s Best Lawyers under 40 in Dallas and selected to the list of Texas Rising Stars by Thomson Reuters, honoring the most highly regarded young attorneys in the state. She has also received a 10.0 “Superb” rating by AVVO.com, the organization’s highest rank.
Charmaine Becken focuses her practice on Business/Civil Litigation and Employment Law matters. She represents both plaintiffs and defendants in disputes involving banking, employment, and other commercial litigation issues. Ms. Becken has also worked extensively in the areas of real estate, family law, and estate planning/probate including having first and second chair trial experience. Charmaine was also selected 2021 Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in Commercial Litigation.
